This year’s challenge is being prepared! Members will have 9 months to create a wall hanging depicting our quilt show theme, while using a unique piece of fabric.  After members vote on their favorites, the quilts will be displayed in downtown Red Bluff for a month prior to the quilt show for everyone to enjoy.  Shown here is a winner from our last show.

Guild Members are once again working hard on projects to fill the boutique area of the show, in addition to extra fabric, books, hand crafted items, quilts and much more.

Tickets for our 2011 Opportunity Quilt will be available for purchase at the show. (The 2010 quilt is shown here for an idea of the workmanship and beauty that will be offered.)

Up to 20 vendors will be displaying their quilting fabrics, patterns, and other merchandise.  Plan to visit our show so that you don’t miss any of their great products!

Once again our small groups and local vendors will be providing us with baskets for drawings to be held at the end of the show.   The hardest decision is always which basket to put your tickets in!

Be sure to stop at this table, as well as the door prize table to see if you have won a prize just for attending.

 

“Quilting Around the World” Quilt Show

The selection has been made by the members of the guild for one member to be our featured quilter and to display some of her beautiful quilts at the 2011 show. Charlene Brians will be available throughout the two day show to visit with guests and share her quilting experience.  Please plan to stop by to say hello to Charlene at the show.

We will again have a booth to design blocks for our community service quilts.  Plan to stop by and create a nine patch block that will be finished into a quilt for a Tehama County person in need of warmth.  Our guild is well known for providing 300 - 400 lap quilts each year to those in need in our community!

In odd numbered years, the Sun Country Quilters Guild is pleased to present a quilt show at the Tehama District Fairgrounds in Red Bluff, California. This event showcases the work of its members, as well as other quilters in the area.

Dates have been set for the next quilt show…Mark your calendar for May 14-15, 2011 and plan to join us for our next wonderful show.
